At Gomti Nagar, Lucknow
I decided to eat out on Sunday. So, again I relied on Zomato for a good recommendation to eat out in Gomti Nagar and this place showed up. Nice ratings and reviews about this restro made me decide to have my Sunday lunch here.
Situated on the second floor at Anand Plaza in Gomti Nagar, this place is easy to find as you can see its board from a good distance. The ambiance was really nice and cool, gave me feel of Chili’s in Mumbai. There was a live sports screening too.
We ordered Cardini Caesar Salad (Added Smoked Chicken), Country Lemonade, Peri Peri Chicken Sizzler, Thai Green Curry Chicken and Shahi Tukda.
Cardini Caesar Salad (Added Smoked Chicken): It’s a simple salad consisting Assorted Lettuce, Bread Croutons, Parmesan and Caesar Dressing. The salad was really fresh and tasty. I’ve eaten Caesar Salad a numerous times but never such fresh salad and crispy croutons before. Great start!
Country Lemonade: Lemonade drink with a little mint. It was ok-ok. It could have a bit of mint more.
Peri Peri Chicken Sizzler: If you want to have your mouth on fire, then this one is for you! It consisted of Chicken marinated in Peri Peri sauce. The server even asks you whether you want to have it spicy. Well, I asked him to make it spicy but never thought that it would be soooo spicy! I liked it because I like spicy food. I would recommend, have it at your own risk.
Thai Green Curry Chicken: This dish was my dish of the day! It was traditional Thai Green Curry paste cooked with coconut milk, seasonal vegetables. Served with Steam Rice. It tasted absolutely beautiful, just like what a Thai Green Curry should taste. Really yummm !
Shahi Tukda: I ordered this Dessert because I wanted to taste how this restro prepares it. It was Golden Fried Bread soaked in Saffron flavoured thickened sweet milk. The bread was really crispy with thickened milk all over it but it tasted below average. I have had many varients of Shahi Tukda before, but this seemed something else 😦
The service was fast here.
Total Experience: 4/5
If Lucknow has these kind of restros, then I won’t miss Mumbai again :D.
